Escher in the Palace

The name of the museum already betrays the art. In the Escher museum you can see art by Escher. The museum is located in the former winter palace of Queen Mother Emma on the beautiful Lange Voorhout. Especially in the summer this is one of our favorite pieces of The Hague. Escher in the palace is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 11:00-17:00.

Museum Panorama Mesdag
The Panorama Mesdag is the icon of The Hague. With of course the panoramic view of Scheveningen as a highlight. Stand in the space and look at Scheveningen around you. Did you know that this is the largest painting in the Netherlands? In addition to this panoramic painting, you can also view the art of the Mesdag couple. There are also exhibitions that connect the past and present. The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 17:00.

Louwman museum
For car lovers this is the perfect museum. The Louwman museum has the world's oldest private collection of cars. The Louwman museum has no less than 275 cars that you can admire. That sounds like a dream for a car lover! We also think the museum is in a beautiful location. The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 17:00.

Prison Gate Museum
We went here a few times with primary school. As a little girl I can still remember that this museum made a big impression on me. The museum is located in a medieval prison. It includes a courthouse, a cell block and a prison guard's house. This museum tells the story of crime and punishment through the ages. We definitely recommend the guided tour of the museum. As a child I hung on the tour guide's every word! The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday. Please note the opening hours, which differ during the weekend.

Museon-Omniversum
I also loved going here as a child. Many children's parties were held here. A museum for young and old. This museum is all about the earth, humanity and a sustainable future. The Museon is a science museum and the Omniversum is a large-screen cinema where you can admire the most beautiful films. They have merged since 2022. Your ticket gives you access to the exhibitions, films, theme rooms, labs and activities. The museum is open from Monday to Sunday.
